IST Hangout

Most of you have already been to the IST Hangout, which is just in front of the Job office. It’s exclusively for IST, CMT, HoC and Planning Team members. You are more than welcome after you have finished your job or when you have time to relax for a bit during breaks. The usual opening hours are from 9:00 (in the morning) till 2:00 (at night). After a job well done you can get yourself a surprise (present your Thank you card) and there are several activities at night. On 25 July there will be a swim. You can find the time somewhere during the afternoon at the IST Hangout.

Task review

After having completed your task, you can go into the app and give a review. Did you learn a new skill? Enjoy working with someone? Were the instructions sufficient? Make sure you give some feedback, it will help improve the experience for everyone!

Don’t forget to start 1h earlier!

As it will be very hot today, remember that your IST task will start an hour earlier in the morning. This will give you an extended lunch so you can have a nice “siesta” before joining your afternoon task. Afternoon and evening tasks are at the time stated in your app.

Swiss foodhouse

This evening at 20:00 is the official opening of the Swiss Café! Serving a range of fabulous foods (think raclette, röstis, hot dogs) and drinks including hot and cold chocolate, it is sure to be a hit with our hardworking IST. They will even do takeaway, which - like the Swiss flag - is a big plus! During construction the café will be open 10:00 – 03:00, and after participants arrive from 09:00 – 03:00.

Payment system

As you might already know regular money can’t be used to pay for your drinks and snacks. You can only use your name card (the one with your name and the QR code) on which you can put tokens at the self-service machines or at the manned cashpoints. At the self-service machines, which don’t accept cash, you can pay your tokens using accepted cards. The manned stations are opened between 19:00 and 20:00 and will accept euros.

We can imagine that you would like to swim to cool down. You can only swim at the jetty in the lake and nowhere else. Please be aware that you are only allowed to swim during daylight and that there are no safeguards. Only swim when you are able to swim!
