The Roverway will not be feasible without the dedicated support of experienced adult staff. A HRM team will coordinate recruitment.

All volunteers will be offered training about Rovering and its educational objectives, methods and characteristics and training in intercultural communication. All adult staff is obliged to show a police record check or equivalent to adhere to the Dutch national “safe from harm” policy.

International Service Staff members are welcome from 22 years and over and will be fully integrated into the national staff teams. Working languages are English and Dutch. Tasks to be done vary widely and sufficient time will be available to spend on meeting others, enjoying the activities and developing partnerships.

The Paths will be the responsibility of local Rovers and Ranger crews and local and regional Scout and Guide organisations, supported by the Roverway Steering Committee.

Opposites Attract

This Roverway edition
will focus on the personal
development of the participating Rovers and Rangers as part of their role in society. The Roverway will provide the environment in which Rovers and Rangers can interchange experiences, knowledge and ideas. This exchange of experiences will be encouraged through the three educational objectives, which all centralize around society and intercultural learning.
